Berry finds herself the victim of a stalker and a friend of hers gets shot in the process. Her mother, Caroline, calls in a private investigator, Dodge Handley. Ski Nyland is the local deputy on the case. Berry knows her stalker, Oren Starks. Seems pretty straight forward, huh? Guess again. It only gets more convoluted from here. You've met the main characters in this introduction, but there is so much more going on. Brown ends up throwing in a couple of twists at the end that I never saw coming, but knew there had to be something else because the story seemed wrapped up with way too much book left. This is an entertaining story that wraps up pretty nicely. Have I mentioned that I love a happy ending?
