I reread this because I never finished reading the macro series, but didn't remember anything from reading it the first time. After this read, I can say it's simply... not very memorable. Past the core characters (Alanna, Tom, thief lord, & prince) and the general conceit of the story (girl pretends to be boy knight) there isn't a whole lot of substance to this one. Does well to set up the world though.
