Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

5.0

I'm going to be honest, going into this book I was setting it up for failure. I heard a lot of bad things about it, and I didn't expect much from it.
However, as I read through I realized that I liked where it was going. I like the breakdowns that Katniss went through, and felt they were necessary for the ending to be even more welcoming. The final straw for Katniss, in the part with the capitol children, was heartbreaking. I surprised myself when I didn't cry at that moment.
I ended up crying when Buttercup came back and Katniss threw things at him.
Overall, I highly recommend this book. It isn't a perfect ending, but it is an amazing one, and one worth experiencing.
