The Unwanted Marriage
by Catharina Maura
Safe to say that this is my fav Catharina's book that Ive read so far!
Dion and Faye caught my attention since book 1 and their book did not disappoint!
Reading the first half of the book, I felt sorry for Faye. Her life was not the easiest, living with a family that's not the best (this is your cue to check the TW). But soon I found out that Dion also had a baggage on his back that no one saw. Two broken people trying to help each other and find ways to deal with their past traumas.
Dion's obsession towards Faye and her obliviousness about it make things so interesting! It's so funny to see them jealous when honestly, there's nothing to be jealous about! Thankfully that along the way, they did learn to communicate better with each other by opening up even though it's hard at first. And it's also nice to see Dion gave Faye options in the end. It showed just how much he's grown as a person. Their character developments were nicely written. It just made so much sense imo.
Also it's nice to see the dynamics of the Windsors! Meddling grandma (which I love) and the siblings who'll always be there for each other and also will treat their in-law as one of their own! I think it was highlighted more in this book!
Now I cannot wait for Zane and Celeste's story!! I’m already completely sold on their story just by reading the snippets that I got from this book!
Thanks Catharina Maura and the team for this ARC.
