The Girl Who Fell Beneath Fairyland and Led the Revels There by Catherynne M. Valente

4.0

Once again, just like with the first book, I was charmed the entire time I was reading this. September is a delightfully plucky, stubborn, strong girl, and I adore her problem-solving skills and determination. I also really liked the look at the "other" fairyland - that of the fairyland below - and the idea of shadows as their own entities. While I missed actual A-through-L and Saturday, I loved the addition of Aubergine, the night dodo, who I hope I'll see in future installments. All in all this book is just as satisfying as the first, and I look forward to reading the rest in the series.
