The most important note that I have is that if you read this, you have to be able to recognize if you’re moved by a book because it is traumatic or because it is good.
This book is very good and very scarring. It is not a casual read and should not be taken lightly or underestimated. But the prose and character building is exceptional and I have never felt more connected to a character or story without directly relating. However, it’s traumatic. If you are queer or disabled, this book can be incredibly intense and traumatic.
