I didn’t like it enough to read the series. 

Things I liked:

1. Interesting blood magic
2. A competition like the Hunger Games 

Things I didn’t like :

1. The typos and errors. It kept jolting me out of concentration. 
2. It’s very slow. The pacing was dragging. A whole book and the games haven’t even started. 
3. The magic isn’t used for anything but healing. 
4. Carmen was always very confused, but she just kept spinning and didn’t really make any decisions. She’s a bit dim.
