Breach of Duty by J.A. Jance

5.0

While initially seeming like yet another J.P. Beaumont case, Breach of Duty takes many twists and turns along the way that makes it stand out from its 13 prior literary brethren. While I can't divulge many details without spoiling the mysteries that lie within the covers, I can say that this book retains J.A. Jance's skill of pacing, with the story picking up the pace to a heart-pounding climax over the course of the last few chapters. The ending was quite emotional though, for the sake of spoilers, I won't diverge any info about it.

While not my favorite J.P. Beaumont book in the series thus far, Breach of Duty stands among the best in my eyes.
