After Felix by Lily Morton

5.0

I had really high expectations for this book for a few reasons: I’ve annoyed everything I read from Lily Morton and I lost count of the people that told me this is one of their favorite books ever. I’m happy to report it did not disappoint one bit!

When I saw it would be recorded in audio format, I knew it was the perfect chance to finally get to it! Joel Leslie did an amazing job as usual bringing the story to life and punching in all the emotion, great performance.

What can I say about the book, I laughed, I cried, I swooned, it was a roller coaster of emotion and I loved every minute of it.

Let me just say I love sassy characters and Felix was great and their banter was top notch.

“Can I help you?”

“Just listening to your little book club.”

“Did you want to join? There’s an admission price and you’ll have to learn the password and the group theme song.”

“What’s the theme song?”

“Pink Floyd’s ‘We Don’t Need No Education’.”

“Oh my God,” Tim hisses in my ear. “That’s your sexy, snarky voice, Felix. You’re flirting with someone, you dirty bitch.”

Thank you to everyone that recommended this book to me and thank you for warning me that it would break my heart, because it definitely did, but it was oh so beautiful!

I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook and I leave a review voluntarily.
