I can’t stop thinking about the fact she compared someone who did absolutely nothing to deserve it except exist to the size of a car. And it’s not like she doesn’t express remorse for other things she once thought, the whole book is her commenting on her old ways. She could have easily just added a line to say that it was something she thought then but would never think now. But she only showed growth around her own body image, not other innocent people in her path.
I don’t think Dolly is as grown up as she portrays herself to be or wants to be. Like someone else said, it feels a little bit like someone who just wants to tell all about their exploits as a teen and young adult but framed in a ‘look how much I’ve grown’ way to sell books.
