Freshers
by Tom Ellen, Lucy Ivison
I am only a few weeks from a Freshers (aka O Week) of my own, so I thought I read this in the spirit of letting characters make mistakes for me. This book does quite a good job of portraying the freedom and fear of starting university, speaking as someone who has not yet been to university herself. The characters were bright and vivid. I liked Phoebe a lot more than Lucke tbh, but I liked that Luck was so willing to acknowledge his mistakes. I don't think either of the characters made particularly good choices but they were sort of dumb so I am not holding it against them. The main problem wth this book is that there are two many characters; there were all these names being thrown at me and I had no idea who anyone was apart from like the main characters.
