Petit pays
by Gaël Faye
Gripping, tender and nausea-inducing, a story of a childhood in times of war and genocide. Reveals the affective structures of a young man’s life, interweaved with those of enduring colonialism and ethnic hatred. Some powerful illustrations of what war does to motherhood, which reninded me of Incendies.
