I enjoyed the fact that these short stories are based on real encounters but I’m honestly left with more questions than I am understanding.

First of all, I think the way the stories connected together in one way or another, and that in the end there was a choice to be made by the one person you didn’t think would return. Second chances aren’t always given and when you decide to take them, that second chance is often thought about carefully. I like the idea of redoing something to see how it’ll turn out with a risk of not meeting your loved ones again, you take the risk hoping you will and that’s powerful.

I liked that there were numerous short stories and diversity as a whole, but the amount of short stories turned out to be a bit too much for me. I spent over half of the book wondering what had happened to those who had been abducted and wanting to read about them rather than continuing to read about new people - it felt as though there was an entire plot hole and it was leading me to be confused.

I’m truly not sure if it’s because I’m not always the smartest or if it’s just that I didn’t understand this story enough to fully understanding the ending, but I feel as though I never got my answer to what happened to certain characters, and now I’m just left struggling to understand if they died, got a second chance at life or what?

I think the authors writing is great but as a whole, I don’t think this type of thing is for me and that I would much prefer to have less short stories and more time spent understanding the aliens and why they’re doing what they’re doing.

Finally, I would just like to wish the best of luck to the author as I think they are capable of writing great things and I would be very happy to read a thriller if they were to ever write one in the future:)
