Saint's Shelter by Joy Danvers

5.0

This was my first book by Joy Danvers and it should have came with its own warning label: lots of actions and little details inside! Reading it felt like a spider spinning a web, so many twists and turns and delicate details with each page. At one point I had to take notes as I read just to be able to remember what’s going on, who’s connected to who and keep track of the twists and turns.

Joy’s way of story building was incredible! She really painted a full picture of all that was going on, sharing background history with the main characters and really made me feel like I was in the book. The action in this book was 5/5! It was chaotic but SO GOOD and kept me reading just to see what happens next! The storyline itself was the most unique I’ve read yet and I loved the representation for the LGBTQ+ community. I loved the connection between Saint and Rio and the spice with them was 4/5 🌶️🌶️. The dom/sub aspect was great and it was juicy spiceee. I will say the end was not what I was expecting at all! I really loved this book and can’t wait to see what Joy writes next!
