The art in this book was phenomenal! I remember reading Shaun Tan in primary school and I absolutely loved his work. And his books really are for all ages, for children and adults alike because they are so relatable and you take different things out of them at different ages.
I loved the message of this book. It was thought provoking, about travelling and surviving in a foreign land, trying to make our lives better and it really is significant in the current world. It forces you to ponder what you'd do in that situation, how you'd survive and what you would be willing to do. As well as how our countries treat refugees and migrants. What they've been through, what their homes look like and how we are living. This was just amazing.
