Wow! Just wow! As a first delve into a novel written in verse, I was truly blown away by this book - the style is poignant, concise but conveys so much emotion. The representation was on point and so many important themes are portrayed in this story!

There are discussions of grief and the impact it can have on different people, differences between the developed world and poorer countries, the traumatic experience of stalking and sexual assault, the consequences of keeping secrets (‘a truth you did not want to know can rot and grow mould in the pit of your stomach, can sour every taste you’ve ever had, can cast a stench so bad you forget you’ve ever known a sweet thing.’)

I loved the dual perspective which really worked well in allowing you to get to know both characters and places separately until they join together.

This book is memorable and unique and I will be recommended it to others and definitely re reading it in the future!
