i cried almost all the way through because of hassan's character and then later on sohrab. such a heartbreaking story, and amir was very difficult for me to love. still, i was fascinated by his portrayal and his relationship with his father. i wish the book didn't end so soon though, because i would have liked to see amir, soraya and sohrab's relationship evolve.
