The premise: a plus-sized fashion blogger becomes the unlikely star of a Bachelorette-style reality TV show after drunkenly publishing a scathing critique of its lack of diversity. Will America accept a fat heroine on the show? Will she get over the douchey guy who broke her heart and find love? Drama ensues!

This book was fun and enjoyable, but not great by any means. I enjoy a reality TV show storyline, and I like how the reader sees different perspectives through emails, blog posts, group chats, etc. However, the story was pretty boring at times, and too long and drawn out (possibly even repetitive?) overall. I wasn't truly captivated by the romances either so maybe this just wasn't the story for me.

Something to note is the amount of current fashion and pop culture described in this book. It makes sense to include labels and whatnot since Bea is a fashion blogger, and I bet I could have Googled her exact outfits to really get a sense of what she was wearing in every episode, but so many reminders of the present make me wonder if this book will feel outdated in a few years. There's nothing inherently wrong with that but it's something to note!

I wouldn't consider this a true spoiler, but there is some
asexual/aromantic
representation in this book which is great!

Overall, would recommend if the premise appeals to you, but it's not a fantastic book imo.
