An Appeal to the World by Dalai Lama XIV

4.0

I was skeptical of this at first as the description of the audio book didn’t really give any clue what the book contained. I actually really enjoyed this and after a few disappointing spiritual reads recently, I’m happy I made time for this. An Appeal to The World is not simply a speech appealing for peace, it is an introduction to secular ethics, the history of Tibet, the history of the Dalai Lama XIV. You are in conversation with him in a way that leaves you feeling optimistic about peace despite the terrible conflicts going on right now. An uplifting short read I would recommend to all feeling hopeless.
