I really enjoyed this! Perhaps the mystery wasn't quite as exciting as those in the other books I've read by the author, but the characters and world-building were a lot of fun. I particularly liked Abi as an (almost) omniscient narrator, and the sweet intergenerational relationships. Also, this is one of those stories where I really wasn't rooting for the humans...
PS The Waterstones edition features a short story which ties in with another of Turton's books! Loved that!
