I’m definitely going to be looking for more books by Wiswell.
Told in alternating points of view of Hera and Heracles.
It’s been a long time since I read the myths, so I’d forgotten why Heracles did his labors, so that was a bit traumatic as was Heracles flashbacks to it.He kills his sons while under control of a fury. He comes back to himself as he sees their burning bodies.
I appreciated Hera’s growth as the story progressed. I can see rereading this.
