Bitter Medicine by Sara Paretsky

4.0

I am a huge fan of the V.I. Warshawski series and Bitter Medicine does not disappoint. As always, Paretsky includes a dose of liberal social commentary with her excellently crafted and gripping story of a dead woman, a murdered doctor and a profit-hungry hospital. The end is bitter-sweet and introduces a new regular character of the non-human variety.
