I started out very much liking this book but it did not end well for me. Overall I thought that the story was hokey and left a lot to be desired. Essentially with all contributors of FTB disappearing and the last chapter showing Jessica as a ghost felt weak. I am giving a higher score of 3 because the length and shear amount of thought put into the novel is deserving of high marks but I didn't feel like the twist, that the house was actually in control, was all that unique.
