This was such an engaging read. A tasty lovechild of The Turn of the Screw and The Yellow Wallpaper, among other classic gothic tropes. I loved the sense of voice and especially the English narrator on the audiobook. I didn't feel any of the romantic pairings were earned or developed, but the story was satisfying enough for that not to matter. There's also a very silly 'I googled the mystery and the top result told me everything' scene, but we'll forgive it.
