I……. boo tomatoes. what a waste of a fun first book
setting aside the wild ass incest reveal, this book was a repetitive, blatant middle child of a book. plot was… nearly non-existent, the sex was predictable in comparison to the first, and the only highlight was the hot priest. 2 stars for the hot priest and interesting (if poorly developed) supernatural happenings
the tragic backstory between auden and saint was a bit of a flop (a hate crime & the misunderstandings trope don’t mix well imo) and all that build-up to the falling out reveal just to end in an even worse reveal felt silly
I will be looking up summaries of the rest of the series to put the plot bits to rest
