This is a “whodunnit” mystery reminiscent of old style mysteries like Agatha Christie. The historical setting is a nice touch and a great way to explore the laws of the era and how queer people navigated their lives.

The only thing is that the culprit was so obvious to me from the start that I thought that they were actually a red herring. it’s so obvious it couldn’t possibly be that character, but it turned out to really be that character. By the end, I was like…. seriously?? The other family members couldn’t possibly have been suspicious at all?

Overall though, I liked Andy a lot. I’ll be continuing the rest of the series.
