I’m a big fan of multi-generational sagas, so this book already had a head start in terms of my opinion about it. Add that to the fact that it taught me a lot about Japanese-Korean history (and inspired me to research more about it), and it was a home run. Very imperfect yet sympathetic characters. Not for everyone, but I’m very glad I read it.
