All We Shall Know
by Donal Ryan
This earned it's 4th star for how it ended. I'm a sucker for a satisfying ending. However, this is the second Donal Ryan book I've read and yet again he populates his books with the most awful characters. I find his representation of small-town Ireland highly depressing - these are no incentives to tourism. He's like an anti-Maeve Binchy. It is well written though, and a quick read. I liked the structure of the book and the insight into Traveller culture, but honestly I didn't find Melody, and her motivations, a believable character.
