I had recently finished 2 heavy books, so I was looking for something fun. After reading the synopsis, I knew what I was getting in to.
I just didn’t realize it was going to be this bad.
I think my 15/16 year old self would’ve gobbled this up. And while the plots are in no way similar, I kept thinking of [b: Twilight|41865|Twilight (Twilight, #1)|Stephenie Meyer|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1361039443s/41865.jpg|3212258] whilst reading.
In the beginning, I really thought I was going to enjoy this. Quintessential guilty read for an adult.
But then it started to lose me.
And then it REALLY lost me when a sexual assault was used as a plot device to push the 2 main characters together. And only for that reason.
I ain’t got time for that.
