The graphic novel was a fun read, but I don’t think it can beat the original. This version is better suited for young children or those who don’t have time to sit through the books. However, as a lover of the OG novels, I feel as if they left out many important parts. To readers who haven’t read the novel, the character development and overall plot may feel rushed, which it is, due to it being a shortened version of the first two books combined. The art was well-done, I just wish they hadn’t cut so much down. Although, I understand why they had to.
