Secrets of a Sun King by Emma Carroll
3.0

I meant to read this years ago and never managed to get around to it. This was an odd little story... historical fiction with perhaps just a touch of magic. I enjoyed the setting of 1922 and Carroll's little references to the lingering trauma of WWI, and I was definitely caught up in the excitement of the adventure. Some aspects of the story did seem a little too implausible, but still... this was a fun historical fiction novel, perfect for middle grade readers.
