I really don't understand the hype for this book. The characters feel fake to me, and while the plot is interesting, the pace of the book is completely off for me, and things just keep happening far too quickly for the characters--or the reader--to be able to fully process them, making them just seem inefficient and just there for the purpose of moving the plot on.
But, the world-building was interesting, and I'll probably come back to this book one day and try to finish it, but right now, other things better than this to read!
