On Palestine by Ilan Pappé, Noam Chomsky
5.0

Definitely an incredibly insightful book. I wish I could give it 4.5 stars tbh, because there are a few tiny issues with it, mostly things like little quips that Chomsky+Pappe make that I wish had been further explained via footnotes, and also I felt that a good portion of the last ~50 pages or so were redundant, presenting things that had already been presented earlier on in the book. BUT with all that said it's an incredibly important resource, especially IMO (1) the beginning parts where Ilan Pappe proposes a new vocabulary with which to discuss the occupation and (2) the part where Chomsky discusses the sort of futility of national borders and the whole nation-state project in general. Both were really eye-opening to me and I feel like just these two contributions alone make the book worth it.
