Infinite Country
by Patricia Engel
This book provides an intimate portrait of a family divided between Columbia and the United States, and the hardships they have to endure because of their immigration status. The plot can be slow and the execution is a little clumsy (e.g. narrators switch without warning or explanation) but it provides important commentary on the immigrant experience.
