Sexing the Cherry (1989) by Jeanette Winterson is about a giant woman and her son she finds by the river traveling through modes of time and finding the stories in between the stories they’ve lived through. Quite a metaphysical read mixed with magical realism and prose poetry, I have never read such exquisite language before! Highly recommended.
