A fun group read. The premise is exciting and pulls you in immediately. I found a few things that made it slightly difficult to get through. One being how lost the plot gets with a lack of anticipation. Once the two main characters connect, it’s almost all we get. Occasional resting parts but few and far between. My biggest issue is the MFC keeps referring to the MMC as the most dangerous, ruthless, and violent man she’s ever met. We as the reader only get a small ounce of that side of him. The stakes are mid. I think to feel the passion and chemistry, I’d like to also feel the fear and panic he evokes. It’s not there.
