Fun, action-packed story with a colorful cast of characters. I personally didn’t really like how
at least in the beginning, before we know Metals were once human,
Ana was in love with her robot companion because being in love with something that is said multiple times to not have emotion seems off-putting to me. But I liked the rest of the characters and the storyline was interesting with a very interesting ending. The ending is clearly set up for the sequel, which unfortunately made it feel a bit like a mid-season TV finale, rather than a satisfying ending.

Read if you like stories about robots and AI and the morality and consequences of it all, set against a light sci-fi/fantasy setting.
