The premise of this book drew my in like a moth to a flame. Tell me there is a fairy-tale and Criminal Minds murder mystery book and I am there!

For me this book just was not descriptive enough, we would have characters discussing a scene before the reader even got told the full setting and it really took away from the mystery element. Descriptions did get better as the story progressed and there were also graphic illustrations in this book for most of the murders (for me this helped set the scene but it might not be for all readers).

The romance portion had LONG descriptions in comparison and definitely felt like it took over the mystery most of the time. Descriptions of Bel and Eamon could be especially tiring and repetitive. Since I had difficulty caring about the characters, and didn't find them particularly likeable, it was difficult to feel any chemistry the author was trying to portray.

I do still have hope for this series moving forward, and the idea definitely still intrigues me
