When People Are Big and God is Small: Overcoming Peer Pressure, Codependency, and the Fear of Man by Edward T. Welch
3.0
I struggled with his writing style and examples.
Something about the stories and characters fell flat on me and it was hard to continually engage. At one point, I even forgot that this was the book my men’s group was reading.
I liked the conclusion. It was convicting and clear and strong. The arguments and message of the book were good, but the pacing and slow build didn’t work for me. I felt like he was always on the verge of saying something good, but never quite finished the thought.
