Code Name: Revenge by Sawyer Bennett

4.0

Code Name: Revenge is a friends-to-lovers romantic suspense story. Dozer's usually the guy who stays behind in his tech lab, giving mission support and creating some of the security products that keep everyone else safe ont he job, but when his best friend out of Jameson is threatened by the Russian mafia he knows he's going to have to put his own life on the line to keep Jessica and her daughter safe.

But sitting safely back at the Jameson HQ while Dozer risks his life for her? Yeah, Jess isn't OK with that plan at all...

Code Name: Revenge is a fairly quick read--it's only about 200 pages long--so Ms Bennett has to pack a lot into a shorter page count. The result is both sweet and sexy, with edge-of-your-seat suspense that keeps you turning the pages until you get to the much-earned HEA. I loved Dozer, Jess, and Thea (OMG, when they go to Disney at the end? The. Best!) and it wasn't hard at all to root for them all to defeat the bad guys and find their way to happiness at the end.

This book is the 9th (and I think, second last?) book in Ms Bennett's Jameson Force Security book, but it should work just fine as a standalone if needed. Fans of the series will see many of their favorites here--both in small and larger roles--but the events of this story don't require any prior knowledge of the series to enjoy.
