I was not a fan of the new art style, and it hurt my enjoyment of this graphic novel. The characters didn't even look like themselves anymore. Definitely not my cup of tea. I mean, the plot and everything else was fine. But the characters spent a lot of time point out how implausible the premise was. It may have been funny at first, but the more it was mentioned, the more I agreed with them, and I could no longer suspend my disbelief. So that tongue-in-cheek self-awareness and the art style shift combined to make this not a very good experience for me.
