What If It's Us by Becky Albertalli, Adam Silvera

3.0

When I try to find a right way to describe this book, one word pops into my mind: mediocre. It's just mediocre.

My expectations where high - I was so excited to pick up a book centered around queer characters. Especially since both of the writers are well known. But I must say it did not live up to my expectetion

Right now, couple months after reading it I can barely remember anything. The characters were not memorable, their relationship was not really involving.

What I do renember though is how cheesy and cringy this book sometimes felt. As a teeneger I must say this - I did not felt as if these characters could be real teenegers. That's why I cringed at some of their behaviour and conversations.

I really wanted this book to work for me, but well - it didn't.
