In almost every long running series readers can get a bit lost when it gets to the point when so many characters are introduced and the main series arc continues to build layer upon layer of new information with every new release. I’m a huge fan of the Psy-Changeling series, yet I still have to go back occasionally and remind myself of certain character pairings and specific plot points. Which is why I was thankful that Allegiance of Honor gave me a refresher as the next big series arc starts to play out.

Because the Trinity Accord is still brand spanking new the leaders find themselves trying to balance trust with suspicion and wariness. Especially as it becomes obvious that there is a traitor within its ranks. The Consortium, in its fight to bring down Trinity, has turned its attention toward the daughter of Lucas and Sascha. Naya, a mix of both of her parents, is an unknown in a world where humans, changelings and Psy are slowly learning to work together to achieve peace. And that’s just one of the many frightening things arising now that this world is changing.

This is a hard book to review because SO MANY POINTS OF VIEW. I think almost every single character Ms. Singh has ever introduced was at least mentioned, which was nice, but could have been confusing. Thankfully even though the POV shifts repeatedly I was able to keep up easily as Ms. Singh moved from couple to couple and conflict to conflict. If you’ve wondered how Hawk and Sienna are doing, you’ll find out. Want to catch up on Kaleb, Sahara and the current status of the PsyNet? Need to know how many pupcubs Mercy ends up having and which changeling group they officially belong to? Are you desperate to find out more about the water changelings and if more of their missing members will be located? Don’t worry, everything you’ve wanted to know more about is touched upon. There might even be some hints on the relationship between Anthony and Nikita. While there is a lot of wonderful and heartfelt moments, there is also the sense that all this so new and delicate that it could all be shattered in a moment.

I kind of wondered after so many books if this series would slowly start to wrap up, but after reading Allegiance of Honor it’s clear that there is so much more in this world left to delve into. I have so many questions that need answers. So many characters I’d like to see have an HEA. Kids I’d like to see grow up and find their places in the world. Relationships I wish would blossom into more, Psy family groups I need to know more about and backstories I want to explore. All I can say is I look forward to whatever Ms. Singh has planned next. Final Grade- B

Favorite Quote: (Because I just can’t get enough of Kaleb and Sahara)

Her eyes held his own and he knew his gaze was obsidian, devoid of stars. “I trust you with every tiny particle of my being and every corner of my soul,” Sahara said. “If you ever say there’s no hope, that it’s time for the last throw of the dice, then I’ll be right there beside you.”
