Let me start by saying that I've always loved Jane Green's books! I loved her 2015 novel, Summer Secrets. Unfortunately, I did NOT love this one. Or, let's use the Falling analogy...this book started out as a four star...then fell to a three star...and finally, with one of the worst endings I've read in a VERY long time, fell to a two star.
Starting out, I loved Emma as a character. I related to her in so many ways. But this one just fell flat for me. I also loved Dominic as a character. The characters weren't the problem--the slow moving, predictable plot and ridiculous ending were.
Though I'm disappointed with this book, this won't keep me from reading any future Jane Green books, as I've enjoyed her books before this one. But don't let this book be your first exposure to Jane Green--I would recommend Summer Secrets or The Other Woman first.
