The Christmas Blanket by Kandi Steiner
5.0

I enjoy Holiday novellas but they are something I like but aren’t usually blown away by. Kandi of course managed to write a short little story that still blew me away. I love this second chance, slow burn (as much as it can be in a novella), forced proximity story.

When Eliza tries to surprise her family for Christmas, the last thing she expects is to be stuck in her ex-husband's house during a snowstorm. At first tensions are high and things are awkward. They really don’t want to be around each other and River especially does not want to reminisce on the past. When they finally do talk and have a heartfelt conversation, they both admit to never getting over each other and the reason for their divorce is revealed. I loved this so much that I wish it was a full length novel.
