The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie

mysterious medium-paced

3.5

Can’t really explain without spoilers.

I hate an unreliable narrator. So, my personal enjoyment of this is a much lower rating than it probably deserves.

Technically, it is well crafted and should be a 4 or higher. A reread would probably increase my rating. But I just hate a twist like this one has, and it had me rolling my eyes that this is that kind of book.

It’s quite unfair to the book, unfortunately. Because that sort of twist was new and fresh when it was written. But I still don’t enjoy it ending that way.
