i'm so sad that the book was ruined for me by the time that i live in, but it was still enjoyable. because of the spoilers of today, it can feel uneventful at times, but it's still an intriguing and fun read. beautiful language and descriptions make the text ever more immersive.
other than spoilers, i would say that my harshest criticism is that the psychological understanding of the time somewhat limits it.
