I came across Borges in reference to books I was reading in Cosmology in the 80s and 90s I had to read the short stories that so many science writers were talking about and I fell in love with his mystical, style, his fascination with Pascallian terror of the infinite spaces. He is a perfect author for someone a little in love with infinity and eternity but also on the pessimistic side. I am not pessimistic. I have an idiotic optimist core camouflaged occasionally with worldly weariness on the surface. But I love me some Borges.
Update 2/21/2023 Borges is one of my favorite writers I share his fascination with the infinite and the esoteric. He is a little on the dark side but it goes well with the mysteries his work touches upon.
