The Enchanted Greenhouse is truly a cute cozy fantasy!! the atmosphere fits the genre perfectly, with a comforting, magical vibe ✨ however even tho i enjoyed the coziness, the story itself didn’t fully hit the mark for me 🥺
some sections of the book felt repetitive, almost like certain themes or conversations were circling around the same points without much development; to me it’s mainly the romance and relationship part between yarrow (mmc) and terlu (fmc) 🥹
yarrow has a tendency to hold back his feelings and left terlu constantly guessing where she stood, so this got a bit frustrating for me after a while
instead of slow-burn tension, it sometimes just felt like miscommunication stalling things 🥺
i also found myself comparing this to The Spellshop (another book by this author, they are interconnected standalones), which i read just before
to me, The Spellshop has lots of humor (it’s very funny and lots of laugh-out-loud moments💕), while The Enchanted Greenhouse felt more subdued 🥹 it’s still sweet but without the same lively energy; so in comparison, it came across a bit flatter than i’d hoped
also i think a few parts of the story weren’t explained very clearly 🤔, and some important plot points or worldbuilding elements felt a bit underdeveloped, which pulled me out of the immersion every now and then unfortunately 🥹
overall i think this book def delivers a cute and cozy vibe, which is perfect if you’re in the mood for something light 🌷
it’s not really a new favorite of mine, but still a sweet little cozy read 💚
