Based on the first third of this book I would give it 5 stars, but the later sections are weak and unbelievable, so I have down graded my rating. The idea of a cult that preserves the sanctity of marriage is a good premise for a book but the story unraveled when Jake was accused of adultery. It is almost as if the writer lost their way part way through and couldn't work out how to end the story.
Not the unputdownable thriller I expected.
